Autum

I had sown the Cosmea bipinnatus 'Apricotta' in the greenhouse and it just doesn't know how to stop. I sowed it around June, now in October it is still in full bloom with its beautiful pink to apricot changing colors towards the edges. Wonderful!

Autum

It's already October and time flies, before you know it it's Christmas. The vegetable garden season is coming to an end. But if you have a greenhouse you can grow all winter, my plan is to put garlic and onions in November and on the other side of the path I'm going to try broad beans. All of that can easily overwinter in a greenhouse, next year in April it will be the turn of cucumbers, melons and tomatoes. Speaking of tomatoes, they are now in the webshop, click on the link below.

In the picture above you can see the Black Crimea, Noire de Crimée or in English the Black Crimea. This is a tomato that weighs about 300 grams with an excellent taste, very suitable for a sandwich or you can make sauce or a soup from it. There are still a few green specimens in the greenhouse and they are given three weeks to ripen. Then the greenhouse is emptied and the winter vegetables come in, as I said, the broad beans and onions and garlic, but there are also 2 rows of leeks growing, I leave these of course. But how delicious they were, the summer vegetables such as the cucumbers and melons.

Not to mention the Basil was so delicious in the tomato sauce. I'm going to make a nice pesto from what's left.

Of course, sunflowers should not be forgotten, not even in the greenhouse. This beauty comes from Angelo Dorny's collection, just look it up in Google.

Peppers

Every year I want to grow peppers, but this year the greenhouse was only ready in mid-June. So I bought some plants from me at the garden center Alméérplant. The long red and one yellow and one red Surinamese peppers. It was a mediocre harvest but they were tasty.

The potato harvest in bags was mediocre so next year it will be a bit different, but for now the palm kale and kale are doing well.

At the end of this blog, another lover of the greenhouse and that is Moksi my house cat.
